Our Works

The Saint Meinrad monastic community carries out various works and ministries, as a means of outreach and support.

When you make a purchase from one of our retail ministries, you are supporting the prayer and work of the monks.

SEMINARY AND SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY

Almost since its founding, Saint Meinrad has operated a school to form men for the priesthood. Today that work continues, as Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology serves dioceses and religious communities in the U.S. and abroad by preparing their men for the priesthood.

In addition, the Graduate Theology Program offers master’s degrees and certificate programs for men and women who wish to minister in the Church or are seeking spiritual growth.

PEANUT BROTHER

Two young monks looking to make some homemade peanut butter for their brother monks is how Peanut Brother got its start. After several attempts, they created the original grind version that’s made from only two ingredients: peanuts and salt.

Since then, they created other varieties and made Peanut Brother available to the public. This simple and wholesome food is now for sale at the Archabbey Gift Shop.
