A simple & savory sauce created by Fr. Jim Sichko to honor his late mother.
Fr. Jim Sichko is a full time preacher, evangelist and motivational speaker based in the Diocese of Lexington, KY. In February of 2016, Pope Francis commissioned Fr. Jim as one of his Papal Missionaries of Mercy of which there are only 1,000 in the world, 100 in the United States.
Since becoming a priest, Fr. Jim has made headlines for random acts of generosity and kindness, giving away thousands of dollars to people most in need.
As another way to give back, Fr. Jim decided to bottle his mother’s secret sauce recipe and, after his mother died unexpectedly, chose to donate the proceeds from sauce sales as a tribute to her memory.
“All of our gifts can be used for the greater glory of God and just as my mother fed others, even in her death and rising to new life, she continues to feed people that don’t even know her,” Sichko said.
The tomato sauce is bottled by a food supplier in Louisville using all-natural, Kentucky-produced ingredients. Fr. Jim invests part of the profit back into the manufacturing process. The rest of the proceeds, however, he splits between the Southeast Texas Hospice, which cared for his mother at the end of her life, and his home Diocese of Lexington.
